Following on from the great success of its first such event in April, Amcham’s marketing committee is organising the second in the series of lunchtime workshops which provide hands-on learning for members eager to learn more about the practical aspects of how social media can help their business. Although the workshops are aimed at those active in marketing, including both large and small organisations, they are open to everyone.

Each workshop features proven experts in their field and attendees are welcome to ask leading questions and receive detailed explanations and guidance. The topics include Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter, as well as YouTube, etc. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops, tablets and mobile devices for use during the workshops.

Please join us on Wednesday 13 July from 12:00 for the second of this series of social media workshops on the topic "How to tell and sell your story on Facebook". Following an introduction by the Amcham marketing committee addressing strategic aspects, two invited experts - one from a digital agency and one from a leading Luxembourg brand - will lead the interactive workshop and use case studies to illustrate the main points. It will also include useful tips and tricks that you can take away with you.

This workshop looks at using Facebook to market one’s organisation, products and services, and showing how important it is to be clear on the story you want to tell. It addresses setting (realistic) goals, identifying what one wants to achieve, bearing in mind the resources available to invest in this marketing channel, and focusing on building brand recognition, driving sales, driving recruitment, etc. It will cover strategy (brand strategy; content strategy) and operational issues, as well as understanding the "life of a post" and knowing what to look out for when using analytics. The issue of Facebook ads will also be covered, with guidance on how these should be set up to achieve the best results.
