Luxembourgish cider

The origin of cider dates back to the dawn of time. We find the trace of this "apple wine" among the Hebrews, the Romans and the Greeks.

It is really from the 11th and 12th centuries that the cultivation of apple trees was born in Europe, under the impulse of the religious, and that the golden age of cider began. Because some regions were producing a wine of mediocre quality - due to a climate unfavorable to vines - they turned to this new culture. This was the case for example in Normandy, Brittany, Picardy and the Ile de France.

For this tasting, we invite you, in partnership with Ramborn, leading producer of cider in Luxembourg, to discover this ancestral apple wine.
